DROPS OF FRIENDSHIP – TURKEY

The Zero meeting was held in our country from 7th to 12th October 2013. The coordinators from 7 countries and 8 schools came together to agree on activities,meetings,tasks in following 2 years. We had a welcome ceremony for the teachers .  The headmaster talked about how important it is to be a part of the project for all of the schools.

Both the coordinators and all the kids were excited about our first meeting.The first meeting at school was succesfull. Discussing further tasks, meetings, products and outcomes and we got to know each other a little bit more. The coordinators visited several lessons and tried out how make marbeling art. Our school's music band performed a mini concert for the visiters. Later  on we visited the information centre and the lakes in Gölbaşı .

On following days we visited "Anıtkabir". It was an honour for our guest to participate in a ceremony at Atatürk´s tomb. Anatolian Civilizations Museum and Rahmi Koç Museum, Ankara Castle, Hacı Bayram Mosque, The 2nd National Assembly building of Turkey were the other attractions to be visited during the day. They also had the chance to taste traditional dishes of Turkey .  Next day we had  a beautiful trip to Nevşehir. With its breathtaking view ,Cappodocia affected everyone  a lot.

Our guests were glad to meet hospitable collegues in our school and  friendly people of Turkey. We agreed on some tasks for the next meeting in  Poland and came the end of  the meeting with a farewell dinner.

The most important thing in our project is that we are equal and every partner school has the right to fulfill its objectives and to do the best for the project´s success.
